Have a Better Therapy Experience

We’re Here to Help

Wellness Counseling is a unique and fast-growing behavioral and mental health practice in Oahu. We’re a team of five therapists and an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) working with hundreds of individuals, couples, and families with a broad range of emotional and behavioral needs.

In addition to individual, couples, and family therapy, we provide medication management for clients and clinical supervision for trainee therapists. Founded in 2019, we’re conveniently located in Honolulu near the freeway, bus, and BIKI stops, and our clients can choose in-person or telehealth appointments.

Our Mission

To create a safe and compassionate space to provide effective therapeutic services

in our Honolulu and Oahu communities.

To provide counseling services that help clients gain new skills to overcome life’s obstacles effectively

and live their lives well.

We offer diverse mental health treatment approaches, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. Each client receives a thorough initial evaluation and personalized treatment plan.

We’re a holistic practice and firmly believe that improved mental health supports, and is supported by, a healthy body and spiritual wellness. The mind-body-spirit connection is essential, and we are always mindful of it. We care about our clients and help them in many aspects of their personal journeys.

We Provide a Safe, Compassionate, Non-Judgmental Space

Counseling appointments are only effective when you, as the client, feel comfortable opening up about your unresolved issues. Our therapy sessions provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental environment to talk through your thought and emotions.

Feeling comfortable and relaxed with your therapist is essential.

We place emphasis on the therapist-client relationship. Matching you with someone you feel at ease with and can trust means everything. It’s one of the advantages of our five-person counseling practice compared to a single-practitioner office.

Our therapists have a range of interests, and some will align closely with your concerns and goals. They bring valuable experience and insight that you’ll find beneficial in the short and long term.

Our Hours, Fees, and the Insurance Plans We Accept

Our general office hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments for telehealth therapy sessions follow a similar schedule and are available when the office is open.

We accept most insurance: HMSA, HMSA Quest, HMAA, HMO, HMA, OHANA CCS, OHANA Quest, UHC, UHA, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Tricare, and Kaiser.

Self-pay fees are $105 for individual therapy appointments; $115 for couples and groups. Sessions with an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) are $105.
